Leominster Public Schools District sees 2.2% decrease in graduation rates over 2022-23 school year

Leominster Public Schools District had a 90.6% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 2.2% lower than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 426 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 435 the year before.

Leominster Public Schools District and Match Charter Public School District had the 65th lowest graduation rate in the state.

Leominster Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Worcester County and has a main office in Leominster.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
