Ashburnham was recently selected by The Conway School of Landscape Design (CSLD) as a Spring 2022 Client. Between April and June, CSLD graduate students will prepare a landscape design plan for Winchester Park. In addition, the team will evaluate pedestrian and bicycle connection to the nearby "River Street Park" (former Bresnahan Pool Area), providing basic concepts for appropriate features at that location.
The project scope includes two stakeholder/community meetings seeking recommendations and input.
The first stakeholder/community meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, at 6:30 PM in the Training Room of the Public Safety Building. We look forward to your participation at this event. Your input is important!
The completion of this landscape design plan will support future grant applications and fundraising efforts to restore and/or redesign the parks incorporating active and passive recreation spaces; community programming elements; improved parking, pedestrian and vehicle access; and future library expansion.
